Beaches of Arrecife & Surroundings
(southeast coast)
The island’s capital has a beautiful urban beach, Playa del Reducto, with fine golden sand and calm, clean waters. Centrally located, easily accessed and boasting the European ‘Blue Flag’ for good bathing infrastructures, this beach is an ideal family venue, providing all the necessary facilities for an enjoyable day on the beach for every member of the family.
Starting in the centre, an attractive seafront promenade, running all along the Reducto beach, leads to Arrecife’s second beach, Playa del Cable, 2 km further west. A stretch of about 300 m (980 ft) of fine golden sand and calm waters, this beach offers no further facilities and the nearby airport makes it less relaxing if you are in search of peace and quiet.
