Beaches of Costa Teguise (east coast)
Costa Teguise, the island’s third largest and newest holiday resort, boasts five attractive sand beaches stretching for about 5 km (3 miles) south all along the town’s shoreline, backed by a pleasant seaside promenade. The largest and most scenic is Playa de las Cucharas, a 640 m (2,100 ft) strip of sheltered beach with golden sand and calm waters. A favourite with families, this beach provides everything for a nice, comfortable and relaxing day on the beach.
Its steady breezes making it an ideal spot for windsurfers, this beach also offers a full range of water sports activities, including big game fishing and diving to a nearby shipwreck.
Should you – or your kids – look for more diversion, head for the aqua park, located just outside of town.
