Leisure & Sports: Karting
Lanzarote has two karting tracks, which cater for young and older fans of this leisure activity!
The Gran Karting Club – located in the Arrecife area on the road to Tías – offers a senior kart track where senior drivers can reach speeds up to 80 Km/h. Teenagers between 12 and 16 years of age can take their chances at the junior track and children from the age of 10 can try the mini bikes’ track. For the very young, starting at 5 years, there is a children track with mini-karts. The Gran Karting Club also has an infrastructure designed to host advanced level competitions.
The Go-Karting – located south of San Bartolomé on the road to Arrecife – has karts for everyone: parents and children, beginners and experts. There are even double go-karts for the little ones to enjoy a drive together with a parent. Older kids can participate in races with their parents or brothers and sisters in children’s karts, promoting racing fun for the whole family. Beginners can choose the blue karts to get used to the kart and the track. Experts and more advanced can get the feel of speed with racing karts. Races can also be organized for groups.
