Calling all budding motor racing drivers! Fancy yourself as the next Schumacher? Want to feel the thrill of tearing around a track with the engine roaring? Go-karting is definitely for you. Lanzarote has two different venues to enjoy this fun pastime during your holiday.
The Gran Karting Club in Puerto del Carmen is a great place to whizz around and feel the buzz and excitement. It has a course for adults, a junior track (for teenagers between 12 and 16 years old) and another area for kids to try out mini bikes.
This place is so good it hosts go-karting competitions for advanced drivers who love the thrill of the race. There is also a viewing gallery and snack bar so you can really make a day of it here. Opening hours are from 10.00 to 21.00 hrs in the winter and 11.00 to 22.00 hrs in the summer season.
Go Karting San Bartolomé has another track which can be used by adults and children, although they allow kids to go around separately so they can go at their own pace. It is open daily from 10.00 – 19.00 hrs.
