Annual Climatic Averages Lanzarote has the most consistent climate of all the Canary Islands, with stable temperatures throughout the year, averaging of 17ºC (63º F) in January/February and 24º C (75º F) in summer time.


Temperatures in the south of the island vary between 16ºC to 20ºC (60º to 68ºF) in the winter, although afternoon temperatures in both winter and summer can be considerably higher.


Due to a cool Canary current flowing from the north, the sea temperatures - with around 18ºC (64ºF) in the winter and 22ºC (72ºF) in the summer - are lower than you would expect them to be at this latitude.
