Puerto del Carmen ranked third place among Spanish tourist destinations that, in 2014, recorded more overnight stays in private accommodation. In first place was San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Gran Canaria) and Arona (Tenerife) in second place.
The Canary Islands Institute of Statistics reveal that, in 2014, Puerto del Cármen received approximately 423,000 foreign tourists and 54,000 domestic tourists in apartment settlements.
Last year, the average length of stay of tourists in Puerto del Carmen was 8.27 days, being one of the highest of Spain.
