In 2014, the number of tourists who looked for a holiday in Lanzarote rose considerably, 2.4 million people landed at Arrecife Airport, representing an increase of 10.5% compared to 2013, according to the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics.
The largest share of visitors come from the United Kingdom, which in 2014 exceeded the milestone of 1 million visitors, followed by tourists coming from Spain (305,000), Germany (290,000) and Ireland (209,000).
According to the data of this institute, there are other markets growing considerably, result of new routes, such as the French, Italian, Dutch and also Polish markets.
