Costa Teguise, a relaxing, sun-soaked holiday resort on Lanzarote’s east coast, is a wonderful destination to enjoy a well-deserved break in beautiful surroundings. It is blessed with fantastic year-round weather and boasts several attractive sand beaches stretching for about 3 miles (5 kilometres), all along the town’s shoreline. If you want to take a stroll along this charming coastal area, a pleasant seaside promenade runs parallel with the ocean and is lined with classy restaurants, serving succulent seafood as well as other international cuisine. Or perhaps you would like to sit and savour a refreshing drink while watching the world go by?

The largest and most scenic beach of Costa Teguise is Playa de las Cucharas, a strip of sheltered golden sand and inviting waters. All sorts of people come here; from families with children who love to play in the sand to groups of friends chilling out under the gorgeous blue skies. Many swimmers like to have fun in the waves, but please bear in mind that the currents can change quickly and this is also a popular spot for windsurfers, who take advantage of the steady breezes found here. Please check the sea reports for water conditions. Facilities are very good with a wide range of water sports activities, including big game fishing and scuba diving, where you can explore the magical underwater marine life and go to a nearby shipwreck.

Another lovely place to relax in the sun is the sandy beach of El Jablillo with its calm, turquoise waters – very tempting indeed! Here, there are some sunbeds to lounge around on as well as sunshades. Overlooking the ocean is the 4-star Hotel Grand Teguise Playa Resort, a luxurious haven offering spacious accommodation and a wealth of great facilities, all at bargain prices.
